I didn't set out to be a board president, it came out of necessity.
As a Hardware and Mechanical Engineering Platform Manager at a large rail corporation and a professional musician people often ask how someone as busy as I am ended up serving as a board president.
The answer is simple: when I see a problem, I feel compelled to solve it.
My community was losing money and falling behind on critical maintenance. Major repairs were being neglected, and it was clear something had to change. I stepped in. After taking on several large projects, including overseeing a full roof replacement, I’m proud to say the community is now in strong, stable condition.
For the past five years, I’ve been running the HOA, and each year the demands have grown alongside my engineering and music careers. I quickly realized I needed a better, more efficient way to manage everything. I explored property management services and existing software, but none of them fully met the needs of our board or simplified the process the way I needed.
That’s what led me to build the HOA Engine app. HOA Engine wasn’t just an idea, it was a necessity born out of real challenges. It’s made managing my responsibilities significantly easier, and my goal is simple: to make your experience just as streamlined and stress-free.
I've spent my life solving problems in complex rail systems. My career has focused on improving efficiency and increasing safety. Now, I am bringing the same systems to HOAs.
